35 thousand tons of crushed stone
Since the beginning of this year, Russian Railways Logistics OJSC has delivered 35 thousand tons of crushed stone for the construction of the road from the M-11 Narva highway to the port of Ust-Luga. This was reported by the press service of the company.

Building material is delivered from the quarry of Lafarge Aggregates and Concrete LLC (Republic of Karelia). The range of services of Russian Railways Logistics includes transportation of crushed stone to the site of JSC Timber Terminal «Factor» (Ust-Luga) and transshipment of cargo. Crushed stone is transported directly from the terminal to the construction site. Transshipment of gravel around the clock.

According to Rosavtodor, the commissioning of the reconstructed access to the commercial sea port of Ust-Luga will take place in the fourth quarter of 2014.

Russian Railways Logistics, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, was established in November 2010 as part of the development of the logistics business of the Russian Railways holding. Russian Railways Logistics forms a comprehensive transport and logistics service by integrating all the services of Russian Railways and third-party suppliers into a single supply chain in the multimodal transportation market.

JSC Timber Terminal «Factor» was established on the basis of assets of Refholodflot OJSC in 1997. The first ship with roundwood cargo was sent from the terminal for a Scandinavian client on July 29, 1997. In the period from 2004 to 2007, the company together with the FSUE “Rosmorport” implemented a program to dredge the approach channel to the terminal’s berths, which resulted in the opening of year-round navigation by vessels with a displacement of up to 5 thousand tons. At the same time, the terminal can unload up to 20 gondola cars.
